Please Help.....
Hi All,
My given name in my previous passport was blank and my full name was printed in the surname section, So as per the US visa guidelines FNU was used as my first name for all USA documents Eg. - SSn license, I797 etc..
I renewed my passport this year and they updated my surname as blank and updated full name in the given name section on the new passport. Indian consulate in NYC is down due to technical issues and I am not able to get my name updated. I need to travel to India for a personal emergency.
Please do let me know if I can go with the name on my previous old passport and as per the documents for stamping in new Delhi. Please if anybody has faced this situation, let me know your reviews on that. Will this impact my Visa stamping.
