Hi,
My current employer has applied for an H1B visa (new H1B) and it got picked up in the lottery. I got a simple 1 page RFE, where they didnt exactly ask for specialty occupation, but kind of hinted at that. My employer answered with a lot of proof. Recently I got a job offer from another company and I really want to leave ASAP (present employer facing some funding issues). I still have not received the H1B approval yet, and online tracker only shows they received RFE response in August.
Is waiting for my H1B approval the only option for me before the transfer? I also have OPT valid until Dec, 2019. The new employer wants to start the transfer process ASAP. To move quicker, the new employer suggests doing the new H1B lottery all over again next year, which I dont really want. Please suggest what could be my options.
