Urgent query about last day of payroll on H-1B and unemployment
hello everyone,
I have a question regarding employment. I got laid off on 29th August and company has kept me on payroll till 29th Oct.. now I am not sure if the company has informed USCIS on 29th August itself about my departure or 29th Oct is going to be the last day to inform USCIS about the departure.
Does the 60 days unemployment starts on 30th Oct for me or 30th August? I am worried because I found an employer who just started the transfer process today but I am not sure if they will be able to do things in next 10-12 days. Also, the attorneys gave a vague answer saying that if USCIS asks them about the employment explicitly then they have to let them know.
Also, Does uscis consider the unemployment start date from last paycheck date?
