H4 documents I797 requested by consulate

I am an H1B visa holder and in US now. My wife had recently applied for H4 visa for the first time from US consulate Abu Dhabi. She was asked to submit an I797 document in her name(She had provided my I797 to the officer). Does any one had a similar situation, if so would you tell me what you did in this case?

I have contacted my attorney and they have filed G28 with department of state. But I would like if there is any other ways to get her a visa.
