I got terminated on Nov 2,2018 by company A. I found another job in company B. They filed for my H1B transfer and the receipt no. is received on Dec 17. Due to shutdown period at client, Company B is giving joining date as Jan 7 (i.e. Post 60th day of my H1B grace period which is Jan2)
1- Do i need to be on payroll on or before 60th day of grace period? (p.s. my i94 is valid till 2020)
2- Will i be out of status for 5 days ( Jan 2- Jan 7)?
