One of my friends is currently on H1B visa status. He got married last year and attend the H1b visa interview after the marriage. In the DS 160 form, he mentioned as "Single" in the marital status and his wife did same (Marital status as Single) for F1 visa. They are in the USA now. Is there any way to change the marital status to Married as it is wrong information to DHS? And will that be an issue?
