I worked in US for company A for about 6 months on H1B and then left the US for 2.5 years. But then came back to US as a student on F1 visa and after completing studies I got hired by company B in US on H1B. The company B used the old petition number with company A to file my new petition for company B so that I did not have to go through the cap again.
Question: since this was the new petition with company B, am I eligible for full 6 years or just the 5.5 years?
