Hi Veena,
I would like to thank you and all the gurus out there for the wonderful work that you all are doin in making this site a great place to learn about H1B stuff.
I was wondering if you can explain what's happening with my application, today i have received a mail from the USCIS website(where i had earlier registered for online status checking of my H1B(first time) which was filed on April 26th at Vermont), the mail states
------------------------------------------------
On June 27, 2006, we transferred your I129 PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER to an office in TEXAS SERVICE CENTER for processing. That office has jurisdiction over the case. They will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office.
If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or advice from USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please contact the National Customer Service Center.
-------------------------------------------------
I was totally confused by this mail as i was under the impression that my application would be processed at Vermont center and even the processing dates were also near by(currently processing april 02 dated apps at Vermont) but how come my I129 is sent to Texas for processing?
It would be really great if you can explain me whats the situation based on the scenario explained above?
Rgds
