Regarding Appointment date at Consulate

Hi Friends,

Could you please let me know one has to wait till the petition comes from US to fix an appointment at the consulate or can fix now ?

My petition tentatively comes in the month of september , as of now in mumbai consultate availability dates are showing for November.

If i fix the appoitment in Sep , i think i will get the dates for Feb .


Please suggest all the possible ways for this

Hi Srikanth,

U need to have 797 petition No. and expiry date to book appointment thru vfs. if u have them, U can book it.

i bought HDFC reciept.
I got LIN number and expiry date which is common date sep 30 2009 . Shall i go ahead and book my appointment?


Could you please let me know if anything else is required ?
