Urgent - Got H4 Visa, but consulate returned Visa Issuance Fees.

Veena and/or other senior members,

I am really confused with here, my wife H4 visa issued as I can see her visa on the passport. But the package returned from the US consulate does contain DD Rs.2300/- (Visa Issuance Fees) DD.

How can it is possible visa issue without taking visa issuance fees. When I contacted DOS in US, they were asking me to contact Chennai consulate as it might be a mistake by the consulate. The current status on the application is "Visa Issued". Please help me what should I do now?

Hi,
I have submitted my passport and DD to consulate after their mail to me.Can anyone let me know how I can find the status of my application,whether it is stamped or not.

Looks like a mistake… Hope your wife did not submit more than one DD for the one application.
Your wife will be given a receipt, once the Visa issuance fee is collected. Please take copies of all those and contact VFS/US consulate to resolve the issue.
