original I129 necessary? plz..plz....need help

i booked an appt for august 4..i got most of the documents required for visa..but i havent got originals for I129 and LCA...(but i got original I797 though)....does this create any problem? i'm attending for visa in mumbai consulate...plz help me guys...very much tensed... thanks a ton in advance!!!

Hi Aryan,

You haven't mentioned if you are applying under the L1 Blanket or L1 individual route. If it's an L1 - indv, you must have the original I - 129 document. If it's the L1 - B, then a copy of the I - 129 will do. Am sharing this with you based on many cases I have dealt with before.

Original I129 and LCA will be retained at the CIS, based on which the approval is given.The company or its attroney must have provided you with copies of the se documents long with the approval. If not ask them for it as these are important documents for the visa interview.

2. COPIES of I129 and LCA, not the originals

and other supporting documentation.

thanks veena! i got one question...i got the original I797 (both the top part, I797A and the bottom part, I797B) from my employer. when i attend the H1B visa interview, which of these forms is retained by the VO........
is it I797A or I797B or neither of those? please help me
