  • Need help in critical Visa Stamping--Mexico or Canada??

    Hi experts!!

My situation is that I came to US on B-2 visa from Australia and got the Visa changed to H1B here. Currently I am in my 2nd year of H1B Visa. I want to go for Stamping. Which place should I consider for stamping?.
I learnt from the USA consulate in Mexico website that people who entered USA on B visa cannot go for stamping in Mexico. Am I correct?
If its correct then looking at the other choice what are the apprehensions of getting Visa stamping from Canada taking into considerations that I already have 2 refusals(one Visitor and one Student Visa) for Canadian Visa? The situation for me is very critical and I'd really appreciate all your guys advices.

    Thanks and God Bless!!

Thanks for the reply Peters..the reason for the refusal first time was on Study Visa and since I had family in Canada the officer it seems was not satisfied that I am gonna return after studies. The reason for second refusal i myself dont know, it was for a visitor visa and i didnt appear for in-person interview.

          Good Luck

I understand from your post, you are a australia citizen. You tried couple of times to canada and finally you land up in USA under tourist visa and applied for the change of status to H1B Visa.

Now why do you want to have the stamping in your passport? Mexico and Canada both places are at risk, if you want to get stamp, you have to go to Australia (Home country) and get it stamped. But you have to prove why you applied for tourist and the changed to work visa after you land in USA. Because you intention while applying is Touring/pleasure.

Infact, you can get a job in USA, but before the tourist visa got expired you should have returned to your country. I dont know how in australia they handle this kind of situations!!!!

Out of mexico and canada, canada is less risk involved.

Any way best of luck, i dont want to bore you!!!!

          regards
