Dear All,
I have an interesting unique situation. I have filed for my H-1 visa in May 2006 from INDIA through an employer for the fiscal year starting Oct 1st 2006, and I received the receipt number . Since I wasn't sure of getting my H1 visa approved at the US consulate in INDIA , I went to the US consulate for an F1 visa and fortunately I got it . Now I am planning to enter US in August 2006 on an F1 visa , while my H1 application is in process. the questions I have are
1.Would I be getting my H1 approval from Oct 1st 2006 without any delay ?
2. What are the procedures that I need to follow before Oct 1st 2006.
If my H1 visa starts from Oct 1st 2007 then I would be on F1 visa in US from August 2006 to Sep 30th 2006 .
I have no clue about what to do . Would greatly appreciate your help.
