Regarding marriage certificate, Senior members Pls advice me

Dear all,
I have booked an appointment for my wife H4 Stamping in Calcutta. Just today my wife found that we have lost/misplaced our marriage certificate while transportation.
I have few questions:
1) What should I do? Because when my attorney filed my h1b petition he asked for a marriage certificate from me asking if my spouse would be accompanying me or not and I gave him the copy of my lost one.


2) If I get a new one will it be a problem? Please advice me what all should i do so that I do not have any issue while getting my wife's H4 stamping?

All the members please let me know. It is kind of urgent.

i will suggest u to get a duplicate certificate from the marriage cert office. They will surely have the records with them just tell them your referance number which u will get it on the xerox.

They will issue a duplicate. Also US counceller wont take any objection if your wife is able to explain them that original cert was misplaced while shifting.
