Do we need approved petition for stamping

Hi,

I am in india now and I have applied for H1B petition but it is not yet approved but I have EAC number with me, can i still go ahead and get the visa stamping date?

I wanted to take visa stamping date now because otherwise it would be very late if i do it after my petition is approved.

yes....u can take the appointment date....with the EAC no.

if u r H1 application is submitted for 2006 quota then put ur visa expiry date as 30 sept 2006 (u can later change the same once u have approved visa)

On the VFS site, use the retreive/modify saved application feature.

why r u so impaitent. it is not so easy visa. small mistake can lead to visa rejection. wait for ur approval.

I have as similar case but a little different, I am in US and my H1 petition has gone for extension.

Can I take a stamping date now with details of expired petition and modify the details later once I get new petition?
