Sorry if I am posting this on a wrong forum, but I would really appreciate it if someone can provide some kind of input if you have been through this scenario.
I am on an H1B currently and work with a company. I recently got an offer with another company and as part of my H1 transfer to the new company, they require a copy of my I-94 which I just discovered that I lost. I have begun the process for request for replacement of I-94, with the USCIS. I sent in the form to request a replacement of the I-94 (form I-102) and the other photocopies such as my H1B approval notice, the copy of the passport page with the arrival stamp of my last entry into the US etc. I am getting differing views from many people on how many days it would take for the USCIS to issue a replacement I-94. some say it could take 60 days.. some say it could take 3-4 months. My worry is if my new job offer will stand until I can get a replacement i-94.
Has anyone reading this post ever been through this? How long does it usually take? I have searched online a lot and don't find any info abt a possible timeframe for a replacement i-94 to be issued. Please help.
