Urgent help: H4 to H1B (I94 related)

Hi,

I need some help. actually i am on H1B, and my wife is with H4 visa. She applied H1B and she got approved on 1st august'06. but she did not get the I94 along with I797 form. Can she able to apply for SSN without I94 form . please help me ASAP........

you definitely need the I-94 to get the SSN. They will need that number on the I-94 card before they issue an SSN to your wife. other than that, she will just need her passport, birth certificate (if possible), US drivers license and the H1 approval notice...

She is having US drivers licence and H1B approval notice(I797B). that means she will get the SSN ?.

I got my H1B approved and will go for stamping in a couple of week time.

Just need help the procedure for appling H-4 for my wife.
