doubts on DS-156

Hi,
I filled my DS-156 form.certain questions regarding the criminal history of a person is not getting selected(Yes/No) while i want to take up a print out.Can i tick them with pen and tell the people at consulate general.
Please help me reg this as i have tried many times to check the boxes,but in vain.

yes you can tick that with pen and make a point to tell the consulate that u faced some prob in getting the correct printout.
remember...when u tell them that there was a prob they accept it as a mistake but if u try to hide it they treat it as crime.
