Is there any problem in getting H1 stamp if I have L1 visa already

Hi,

Please give your expert advice of following situation.

I have my L1 stamping date on Aug 24, 2006 for company A.
Also company B has file H1 petition for me and its not yet approved. I want to take the visa stamping date for H1 stamping.

My question is -
1) will there be any problem if I go for H1 stamping ? as I will have L1 already stamped.
2) will they cancel my L1 ?
3) is there any prob if I take appointment before my H1 petition appoval ?

Even if you have L1 on your passport you can go for H1b. L1 in that case will be cancelled as H1 is more powerful visa. I wud advice you to wait for H1B approved petition for taking interview date at consulate.
