question on DS 156 - item 29

Hai ,

I have a question on item 29 in DS 156.
Have you ever been in the US ? yes

When - my most recent visit is in July 2004

for how long - ?

Do I need to put the period from my most recent visit ( which makes 2 years 1 month ) or do I need to put the entire period that I stayed in US.

I was in US before for about one year.

Please let me know..
