Hi all,
I am a H1B holder, My husband has H4 and now he is in india.
We want to convert his H4 to h1B status,
When is the best time to come here for applying petition.
How many days it will take for change in status from h4-h1
after the status is changed, from when he can join a job.

the quota for new H1b starts in April 2007. If you apply then, he would probably get the H1b approved by June 2007 and his social security number by October 2007.
