H4-H1 urgent

Hi
I m on H1B holder and my wife is on H4 status. She is holding BE (Electronics) degree and she has worked around 1.5 yrs in India in small company so she has around 2+ yrs of experience.


Now I want to convert her H4 to H1b status. What are the chance of getting her H1b ??

Any input will be appreciated.

The H1b quota opens in April 2007. You would need to do an adjustment of status from H4 to H1. Make sure she in the US at that time. Once the H1 is approved (July 2007), she can get her social security number by November 2007 and start working.

Thanks for your reply. But the question is will she get employer for processing of H1B because she has only 2 yrs of experience.

there are thousands of small businesses that sponsor H1b visas. Ask your friends who are on H1b which company they work for and the history of that company and contact those companies.
