H1 stamping - Mumbai. Came US on H4. Got H1. Now visiting India.

Hi all,

I came to US on H4. Got my H1 here. Working since last 1 year in US. Planing to visit India this Nov. Have got an appointment in Mumbai consulate for H1 stamping.

Has anyone heard/experienced any issues for getting your visa stamped in this scenario. All my paper work is in order.

I was having a second thought of getting my H1 stamped in Mexico.

Please suggest.

should go india...for h4 to h1 first time

i have the same situation and we are going to visa stamp on oct 17th...
i think there is no probs having stamp in india...

but first time stamping should be done in india esp if you are on h4 before and doing your stamping h4 to h1...
