H4 appointment without new approval notice

Hello guys

I have my H1B approval notice for my old job but recently I changed my job and waiting for H1 transfer approval notice. I am expecting the new approval notice within a month. I wanted to schedule any appointment for my wife in December can I do that on the my old approval notice and modify it when the new notice comes in???
Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
