Regarding H1B

Hi,

I have filed for H1 this year. I got a receipt number to check my case status online. When I see the status it is "On September 11, 2006 the appropriate American Consulate or port of entry was notified by cable, telephone, or fax of the approval of this case"
I am very much confused about the status . Can anybody please explain what this status mean. Is the case approved?
I have seen some of my friend's status. They got "The case is approved. Within 30 days you will receive papers......... and so on."
I really dont know what is happening with my case status.
Please anybody help.

Thanks for your reponse. But may i know why the status is very much different from others who got approved. This creates confusion. Is there any difference in approval for those with other status info. How many days it take to get I797 papers. Help me. Thanks in advance.

Hi

there is no diff in the status message....the message u saw is the latest one and u missed to see the older one as seen by ur friends. now ur friends will see the same message as u.

It will take around a month to get the original paprs in hand.
