After change of employer I need new H1 stamp to travel?

Hi all,
I am on H1b and I have recently changed my job, curious If I can go and come back to India using the same old h1b visa which is valid till oct 2008 ?

Some ppl told me that you can carry latest petition and travel, but im really not sure whether I can or can't...

Yes you can travel. But make sure u have to show ur latest I-797 in (POE) then u will get the I-94 till new pitition validity. u have keep ur paychecks and all employment related documents.
