Hi all ,

One of my friend attended in Germany.They put his application under 221(g) Aditional Administration Processing.They did give any color hand out and no
time frame for AAP.
2 months passed but there is no response from consulate.
Now he is planning to move to India.If they ask him to contact the consulate
or to submit the passport.Can he approach the consulate in India.

---- Under normal circumstances he cannot approach any US Consulate in India. The alternative would be to email the US Consulate in Germany and request them to continue further processing in India and if they accept your reasoning they may permit you

---- It may take a month more to get the matter sorted out as these Consulates have their own schedules and procedures to conduct business. Till that time be patient and if they ask you to appear at the US Consulate in Germany then you may have to unless your request is granted
