F1 to H1B to F1 again - Please help!!

Hello all,
I am a doctoral student who is in the verge of completing the program. After completion, i am planning to work for 2 years before going for a master level degree. I would like to know how far its realistic to go from F1 to H1B and then to F1 again. I am also told by my friend that i should not use the OPT now and keep it for reserve for my next F1. In case if i find a company to sponsor my H1B, then do you think that i have to go for it.
The thing is i had tough time getting the current F1, i got it only in the third attempt. I am scared whether i have to go to india (US EMBASSY) again to get my second F1. I am in real need of your advices, eagerly waiting for your suggestions.
