unpaid leave of absence
Hello all,
I am about to deliver a baby and am on H1B visa. Once I am done with short term disability and FMLA I may take unpaid leave of absence. Can I stay in USA while on Unpaid leave of absence? Generally if you aren't getting paid and you aren't protected by FMLA you have to leave the country. I am thinking there is an exception in "new child" case. Is it?
Also, is there any good article that describes the whole child birth and short term + fmla for H1B employees?
