univ H1 to Regular company h1?

Hello guys
Have a predicament!

Am currently on h1, but work for a university. I have good job offer from a “regular” company!
So I was wondering if I can transfer my H1 to this company or am I stuck with the university?
Or should I reapply for my h1 when the new quota starts.


Total confusion…

Simply put: Can I transfer my H1 that I have with the university to any company or non-university jobs?

Any inputs would be helpful…

yes, you already fall under the quota. So you do not need to wait for the quota to begin. Ask the company to start the transfer.

Univ H1 do not fall under any quota, so the worry?
if it is not under any quota, can we transfer it to a "quotafied" H1?;-)
