Going to US on L1 when H1b has 221(g)

Hello frnds,
I am facing some strange problem. I had a valid L1 visa from my companie in the mean time i attended for H1b 1week back and i got 221(g). Now my present employer in india i asking me to go to US on L1 visa.
Now my question is when my H1b case is still open can i go to US without any problem on L1 ? Is it safe for me to go to Us on L1 visa? Did any one faced this type of problem before? Please guide me as i have no clue

Hi,
You can travel on L1 , no two visas are inter related, every visa have their own meaning, even one of my frnd has similar case, she travelled on L1.

but when i enquired some people here in India and in US they are telling that it may cause problems in Port of entry.
can you pelase let me know whether ur frnd had any problem at port of entry.
