Hi,
I'll be in India for only 3 weeks for marriage and is planning (hoping rather) to bring her back to US along with me.
I have all the documents mentioned in https://www.immihelp.com/h1-visa-stamping-documents/. But some friends has mentioned that she will also need to endorse my name as her spouse in her passport before the interview.
Knowing the passport office in my city (Calcutta), I imagine getting that endorsement is a time consuming process (her passport took a long time because of the work culture there). Is that an absolute necessity. It doesn't say anything on US consulate's web site as a requirement.
