8th Year Extension

Hi,
I have applied for my green card and is waiting for it more than an year since its in the back log center.
I have finished my 6 year term for H1 also my 7th year extension. I am heading for my 8th year extension.

Can I in this situation apply for my 8th year extension asking for 3 years extension instead of 1 year extension.
