I am in the US working for my sponsoring H-1B employer. The visa stamp on my passport is about to expire(10thFeb,07) and my employer has filed an H-1B extension petition in premium processing.
The visa appointment dates for visa stamping in mexico are not available before 10thFeb,07 (my H1b visa stamp expires). Can I take the risk of going to mexico for stamping with expired H1B Visa stamp on passport?. If i get rejected in mexico, can I re-enter US with valid I-94??
If NO for above, Which leaves me with only option of going back to india and getting stamped there.
How risky is getting stamped in chennai consulate with expired H1B visa stamp but valid I-797 approval notice. Is this a normal case?. If you have all the documents and your compnay is good, will it be advisable to get it stamped in Chennai?
Any help or pointers are of great help.
