L1-H1 case

Hi,
I have got my L1 visa stamped in Nov 2005 and has validity for three years. i have applied for H1 thru some other company in May 2006. I went to US on L1 in June and came back in Dec 2006. I got I797 for H1 in october 2006 when i am in US. I am going for H1 stamping next month:
1. will L1 affect my H1 stamping?
2. what happens to L1 if H1 is rejected?

Can you please provide me answers for the above queries. thanks in advance

---- Both are independent Visas by themselves, one doe not have any bearing on the other

2. what happens to L1 if H1 is rejected?

---- Nothing. It will remain as it is
