Correction in place of birth

Hi

While applying for Indian Passport, I have wrongly mentioned my Place of Birth. I received my Place of Birth and now I am in USA on H1 visa. How can I apply for correction in my Place of Birth entry in the Passport, and how it is going to affect my H1 status?

Please guide me in this regard.

You can contact the Indian embassy to get it corrected in the passport. Look at https://www.immihelp.com/indian-embassy-and-consulates-in-usa/

That is not going to affect your H1.
