h4 visa (urgent) really confused

my husband got h1b visa to usa in germany in feb 2007, right now he is in india .......came to apply for h4 visa as dependent my prob is ......................


i got marriage in 2005 as we all know that after marriage we should enter spouse name in passport nd (change surname nd enter husband surname) nd (change the address nd enter husband address )....is that really mandatory that i should change my surname in my passport nd enter my husband surname nd address ?

or should i just make an enter of spouse name which is mention the option at the back page of passport .....that enter spouse name


if i just enter only my spouse name in the passport is there any prob in usconsulate at the time of interview



i am really soooooo confused please help me out

You need not change your name after marriage on the passport.
There is absolutely no problem with that.

You may add the spouse name in your passport. that will be helpful.
it just take a day at passport office to do so.
Also, make sure you have marriage certificate and photographs at the time of interview
