Hello all,
I'm aware that this might be an oft asked question. However, I need to figure this out quickly and thought I might get some suggestions here. Does anyone know of any estimates/predictions for when the H1B visa (US) quota cap is likely to be reached this year (FY 2008). I know that filing begins April 1.
I am specifically interested in the 20,000 section of the quota that is available for advanced degree candidates. I know that most speculations put the regular cap as being reached in the first few days if not the first day after being open. But no one seems to address the extra 20,000.
I also know that this will be pure speculation. However, if anything is posted on one of many immigration-related sites from a knowledgeable source, it would be of great help.
Thanks.
