L1 to H1 Transfer

I have applied for L1 to H1 transfer through employer X in this year quota through employer X. I am planning to go vacation on May 19th and back in Jun 9th. I have couple of questions

1. Can I go on vacation when applied for L1 to H1 transfer?
2. Can I work with the current employer after my L1 is transferred to H1?
