  • Need Advice

    Hi All,

I have got my H1 transferred and extended through this new company that I have joined.

My I94 expired on 8 feb 2007 and my current visa extension petition has been approved.

I want to visit Canada. Can I go to canada and come back with an expired I94 showing my extension papers. Or do I need to go and get it stamped in Canada and only then I can reenter US.

I just want to visit Canada and am thinking would get the stamping done when I visit India next.

    Any advice for me guys?

    Thanks,
    Parul

---- If your H1 extension has been approved then it should come with an attached I-94, if not you will have to go to a US Consulate abroad out of the country, get the H1 Visa stamped on your Passport and then enter US

I want to visit Canada. Can I go to canada and come back with an expired I94 showing my extension papers. Or do I need to go and get it stamped in Canada and only then I can reenter US.

---- If you have an expired I-94 and you do not have H1 Visa you may not be permitted to enter US despite all your other documents

I just want to visit Canada and am thinking would get the stamping done when I visit India next.
