H1B Transfer Quetion -- Urgent

Hi,
Recently I have applied for H1B transfer on Premium category and waiting for approval. My old H1 visa has expired now and I need to travel to India on an urgent matter. I am wondering to know if I get an approval for the H1 transfer after I travel back to India, would there be an issue when I go there for new Visa to the US consulate in India. Also, if I travel now with only the expired I94, as the new H1 is not yet approved, does it cause to any issue when I go for new Visa after the approval I get. Please advise.

actually, it's just H1 renewal with the same company, not transfer. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
