How to put wife into IT without IT background?

Hi,

M wife does not have an IT background but we want to get her started into it - for compensation, and for comfort of work both.

Are there any consulting companies etc that can train from ground zero and put her in a job? I am close to Manhattan in Jersey City - are there any companies around there, or do we have to move into South Jersey?

How long will take roughly to get a job into all this?
