H1B Visa Renewal. (Extension)

Hi,


I am working in US – CA now and I need to renewal my H1B visa before August. Since this is the first time I am appearing for renewal,

I am not sure about the following details. Please let me know.


I need to Renewal my H1B Visa only at my home country (India) or I can go to Canada or Mexico?
(Which is the best place to get me visa stamped with out any issues)

How many days/months before I can appear for the renewal?
My employer is in Michigan and the letter from my employer says I will be working in his office, but all my pay slips has my CA address.
Is this will have any problem and how I need to explain for this ?

Please let me know the required documents for appearing the visa renewal?

It should not be a problem if your employer is in Michigan and your payslip mentions CA.

Not sure about the other questions!

If your papers are saying you will work in one place...you have to work only there. If you are working in different state, you have to file the LCA apporval. Most of the employers wont say this to the people. I have got my LCA approval recently for the change of place from CA to MA.
