H4 exPiry - H1 Pending - Very Urgent

My wife h4 (i-94 & visa both) is expiring first week of Aug 2007, my employer forgot to apply for h4 extension when i did my h1b transfer.Now we applied for h1b 2008 quota is pending status(waiting for approval notice).So here is the question,What should i do inorder to maintain the status after aug 2007 till october 2007(before she get a project).Please advise on this.

You can not file for H4 now as you are already filing for H1. Best thing is go to india and once get the H1 approval, get stamping and come back. Otherwise it will be a mess.
