H1B Query- Please guide me

I came in on H1b through Company A and worked in US for 3 years. I needed to take a break from work temporarily to take care of my kid. I resigned Company A and company B is working on my H1b transfer.

I would be on Leave of Absence in company B for few months, during this time can I work at some websites as a freelancer?

Please suggest, its urgent.

By law you can not work other than your employer. But, I dont see any problem working there. Talk to those web site people and start working.
