H1-B expires on 8/25/07 - What should I do?

Hello,

I already have my labor cert approved. I already filed I-485 with the priority date of Dec 06.
My H1-B expires on 8/25/07. This is my 2nd H1-B.
What should I do to keep my status and stay employed in the US?
I sent I-765 today to the Nebraska Service Center. I looked at the processing time online, as of today, they're still on Feb 2006. What happen if I didn't get my EAC on time?
Should I extend my H1-B?

Thanks for the reply. How long will it take to apply for the extension? I live and work in California. Should I send the I-129 to the California or Nebraska Center? I got my previous H1-Bs from Nebraska Center.
