Not received I-797 from after Visa stamp

Hi Guys,

last week I got H1b from chennai consulate after two 221g forms.When i got 221g form second time i got all the documents except I-797 form.when i have submitted all the required doc at VFS,they asked me to submit I-797 also but told them i haven't received the same during second 221g.Finally they took all my documents.

After 10 days i received only my passport with H1B visa not I-797 form.

Is I-797 form required? if yes how do i get it back.

Yeah, they should return it to you. Please ask them to return it.
