H4 Passport requirement ?

Hi

I work in US and got married recently.
My wife has applied for her passport before the marriage and do not have my name in the spouse name field.

Is this mandatory to have the spouse name listed in order to get the dependent visa. We have the marriage ceritificate to prove that we are married.

Please let me know.

That is not required. She can use her current passport as it is.
