H4 visa date issue in Mumbai and Delhi

Hi there,
I am trying to schedule an appointment for H4 visa for my wife in India and i called their help line to see if i can come in to for in-person appointment because I am unable to get the dates i want online. I was told that now there is no such thing as in-person appointment and I have to go schedule an online appointment. Is that correct? Their website clearly mentions that i can schedule visa appointments through one of their service centers.

I tried looking for help everywhere but i could not find the right answer. Your help will be truly appreciated.

There is no advantage of in person appointment, the vfs helps those who don't have access to computers or are unfamiliar with it. They book appointments through the same website and system as you do. Your recourse is to try at different times of days and week especially thurs/Fri on a regular basis. If your wife is comfortable with english get an english appointment it is easier to get.
