Unable to get an appointment

Dear all,

I've been trying since the last 1 week or so to get an appointment at the Chennai US consulate, but almost everytime I try to get the appointment scheduled, I get a "Check back in 24 hours" message box.
I would like to get an appointment for the 27th of August. Do you know of anyone who got their appointment scheduled on or after 27th of August? Or am I missing something?
